Kaizer Chiefs have not given up hope of lifting the DStv Premiership title, with assistant coach Arthur Zwane saying,"it's never over until the fat lady sings."
Amakhosi finished 2021 in fourth place on the league standings, 16 points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. Amakhosi have three games less than Sundowns, but could lose out on the points for the two matches they did not honour in December due to the Covid-19 outbreak at The Village. The PSL recently announced that they have charged Amakhosi for not honouring the matches and a sanction will be handed down to the Soweto giants before the end of this month.
If the points are given to Cape Town City and Golden Arrows, then Amakhosi's challenge of trying to catch Sundowns will be much whole harder."We take it one game at a time and obviously we are a team that needs to grind results. We hope and wish that we will go as far as we want to in the Cup and in be in the final and bring it home.
"It looks like maybe it's out of reach, but we still believe anything can happen because that's football. As you know, it's never over until the fat lady sings."
