News reaching the Siya crew is that Justin Shonga's return to the DStv Premiership is close to being concluded.
It is believed that the PSL newbies earmarked the Zambian as a potential addition to their squad for the second half of the season, with discussions understood to be at an advanced stage. The attacker left Egyptian club Ismailly last week after very short spell and as previously reported by the Siya crew, was believed to be heading back to the PSL with Sekhukhune United leading the race for the player's signature.
Siya sources have indicated that the deal for the former Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates striker, is as good as done, despite hitting a snag due to the player's personal demands. "Shonga and Sekhukhune are still talking but the challenge for now, his demands are too much and that may push the club away. There's no decision as yet," a source close to the negotiations reveals. Indications are that Sekhukhune have acted swiftly to secure the services of Shonga who is set on a return to the PSL.
The club is also working on bringing in another Zambian striker in Rodrick Kabwe and both camps are understood to have reached agreement in principle, with a deal set to be concluded in coming days.
