The former president hinted this week that he's too busy worrying about his legal troubles to make it to the stadium.

Former president Jacob Zuma has indicated that he won’t have time to attend president Cyril Ramaphosa’s inauguration today because he is busy fighting to stay out of jail.????????????????????Ramaphosa himself famously opted not to attend Nelson Mandela’s inauguration as the first democratic president in 1994, widely agreed to be because of Ramaphosa’s then unhappiness at being passed over to become deputy president in favour of Thabo Mbeki.

Mandela had asked him to focus on writing the new constitution, and Ramaphosa later went into business to become a billionaire after seeing out his term as ANC secretary-general.

Jacob Zuma says his case is different🔒 ANALYSIS: A permanent stay of prosecution is underpinned by the right to a fair trial, which includes the right of an accused person “to have their trial begin and conclude without an unreasonable delay”. Zuma insisted from the beginning that he wanted to 'clear' his name, so if he were to be granted a stay of prosecution, how does that clear his name?🙅🙅🙅 They claim the witness has died, did they were asked to produce a proof of death to substantiate their claim?
