The tile manufacturer is setting up five pilot stores in Johannesburg

Tile and bathroom-ware firm Italtile, whose brands include CTM and Top T, is eyeing a foray into the lighting market, with five pilot stores to be set up before the end of August, CEO Jan Potgieter says.

Italtile, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2019, is a manufacturer, franchisor and retailer of tiles, bathroom-ware and other related home-finishing products. Potgieter said the lights retail market in SA was valued at about R2.5bn. “It is a big enough market for us to start playing in.”
