“It is thus a window that facilitates the transparency at the core of our electoral project. This national results operations centre will be supported by nine provincial results centres as well as over 200 local results capturing sites spread throughout the country,” he said.
“The biggest age band on the voters’ roll is 30 to 39 year olds at 25.79%, followed by 40 to 49 year olds at 21.63%,” he said.He said the outbreak of Covid-19 made the IEC rethink the way it needed to do things. On Saturday and Sunday, the IEC will facilitate special votes for citizens who can’t go to voting stations on Monday.
