Government will not be reckless in implementing NHI policy, says Ramaphosa

Cape Town - President Cyril Ramaphosa has promised they will not be reckless when implementing the National Health Insurance in the next five years. Ramaphosa, in his weekly newsletter, wrote that it was a travesty that 20% of the people had access to quality healthcare because they can afford it and the remaining 80% were denied basic quality healthcare.

“Around R250billion is spent annually on less than 20% of the population. This is the section of our population that has access to private medical insurance. On the other hand our country spends R220billion on the rest of the population.” This flew in the face of the Constitutional right of the people to have access to quality healthcare, he said.

Nothing more than another platform for the ANC to loot and blame apartheid

The ANC nothing but reckless. Look at SA now at the hands of the ANC. The ANC is the most destructive force to hit SA to date. Nothing but lies, empty promises and theft. Corrupt to the core, keeping SA divided by playing the race card and blaming apartheid for their failures.

Lets see what people think.

Futsek

The ANC is reckless with just about everything that has to do with money or good management. Why would the NHI be different. In the end it will be an equalizing exercise where everyone will receive equally bad health care. The lowest factor becomes the common denominator.

When are you u going to talk about the crime Mr President...

South Africans must rally behind NHI, Cyril Ramaphosa urgesThe president says the government will implement it ‘in an incremental fashion’ and aim to cover the whole country by 2025 I am tired of government telling me what I must do. They should focus on what they must do - arrest the looters, retrieve the money, fix our schools, police, healthcare and primarily the economy. Until then they can all sit down. Must the 3% of South Africans that pays tax rally, or the 97% that don't ? Mandatory = have no choice bozo .
