Government still assessing the effectiveness of lockdown: Ramaphosa - SABC News - Breaking news, special reports, world, business, sport coverage of all South African current events. Africa's news leader.President Cyril Ramaphosa says it is still early to decide if the nationwide lockdown should be extended. He was speaking during his visit to Rand Water's headquarters in Glenvista, South of Johannesburg, on Tuesday. I see a need for an extension. Looking at other countries, we definitely haven't seen the peak yet and returning to normality will only set us back.
