GAVIN RICH: Rassie faces tough decisions in picking World Cup squad

A television visual of Rassie Erasmus immediately after his team’s 24-18 win over Argentina at the weekend probably accurately caught the Springbok coach’s mood.

Erasmus was seemingly lost in thought, staring into the middle distance. Afterwards he said he was glad to be able to learn while winning, and his expression suggested what he learnt was good mixed with bad. He is in a good space as his team heads to the World Cup unbeaten in the year, but he also faces tough decisions.
