Bra Boikie, as he was affectionately known, was recognised by his community for the amount of charity work he did.
His son Molefi said that the family was proud of his achievements and his love for the Soweto community. He said: As a family, we are deeply saddened by his passing, but we are equally grateful for the time we had with him. “He was a self-made man who had helped his community at the earliest available opportunity throughout the decades. All we can say is, here lies a man who has done his duty on Earth.”
He is survived by his wife Sophie, his son and daughter-in-law, Molefi and Bontle, and four grandchildren.
This is the product of township entrepreneurship in the mold of the Maponya’s, Khoza’s, Motaung’s and Motlanas of yesteryears. Honour to him and God. Molefi Kupane Phakama monna?🙏😇✊🏾
