IPID spokesperson Ndileka Cola said the third police officer was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and has been charged with defeating the ends of justice and being in possession of prohibited ammunition.
Cola said the IPID is still investigating the matter further, ahead of the police officer’s appearance in court on Thursday. They sported masks due to Covid-19 regulations and hoodies, with their faces considerably concealed to the media cameras.
