Ekurhuleni Metropolitan municipality has failed to build houses for 133 residents that it had promised in 1994 and is now blaming Covid-19 for the delay.

Johannesburg -

Judge Teffo ordered the municipality to provide each resident with a house before the end of 2018, register them as titleholders a year later, file progress reports to the court every three months and that its mayor Mzwandile Masina and senior management, ensure compliance with the judgment. Seri executive director Nomzamo Zondo has told the apex court that the residents cannot accept the municipality’s conditions.

According to the residents, the municipality and its officials either allowed this to happen or were part of a corrupt scheme that enabled it. They will pursue the SCA challenge if the Constitutional Court refuses their leave to appeal directly to it.

Bull💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

Politicians have gained one point more Apartheid and COVID19

🤣🤣🤣...27 years later & blame it on poor Covid. Those houses were built & sold a long time ago. I'm sure if you can put the RDP list (database) against the list of current owners, you'll find people who didn't even apply for RDPs owning multiple units. And govt will do nothing!

🤣

😂😂😂

mzwandileMasina should we talk about the letscarenpc story noma singazisukumeli ezingasihlalele

Habana! 🙄

Mxm bloody Covid😡

Covid-19 ? Imihlola ka james!

Covid is the new apartheid to be blamed for delaying everything

Shoo. Thank goodness its not apartheid for a change.

And the rapid bus project.... still not finished, it’s a mess....it’s been years and still counting......

And the Free Housing project has ended

we are in trouble

mzwandileMasina come this side Mr EM! Is this true?

ANC really is a curse to black people.

They selling RDP house, remember lately Sikhipha amafiles episode, exposing them

This how it starts. Blame Covid for 26 years of looting. We need a new democratically elected government. Election rigging must be a thing of the past.

🤣🤣🤣 Okay

This is what the ANC doesn't want you to see. Those families have been directly discriminated against for the better part of a quarter of a century and while their case was on the court roll, that did not force the government to assist these people. Now taxpayers will pay them..

🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️

How is this just typical of the ANC?
