The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) say they believe a number of South Africans were in support of their move to disrupt the State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday night.

‘s presence in the house and demanding that Minister of Public Enterprises Pravin Gordhan be fired. Watch: EFF’s Julius Malema requests that FW de Klerk be removed from Parliament When the house eventually resumed, the EFF chose to walk out. EFF Spokesperson, Delisile Ngwenya, says they did not believe President Cyril Ramaphosa would keep to the promises made in the speech. “I do believe that most South Africans, especially the majority of this country, support what we did. We know for a fact with social media that black South Africans are happy with what we did. We felt that the SONA did not deserve us sitting there and listening to it. There was no way we could allow Ramaphosa to continue speaking to South Africans and continue making all those promises that he knew very well he was not going to keep,” says Ngwenya. When the only fact you're certain about is u don't know how many, but u prefer it to sound like it is many, then say 'a number of'. More than 'a number' of us want that insult of a bourgeois parliament removed & all its players EFF included, jailed. Start from scratch! I am definately not on of those many people. Their rhetoric is predictable and boring. It comes at a time when we need true statesmanship to save a collapsing economy.

was our expectations Rubbish!! That's true They can believe what they want. IT JUST AIN'T TRUE no I disagree with that. I'm one those who stand with EFF viva EFF I think it true.. After the EFF walked out,,, I changed the channel.. I am tired of promises with no action And we are. Most of us

Sona 2020: What South Africans expect to hearSouth Africans are eagerly awaiting President Cyril Ramaphosa's State of the Nation Address. I want to hear the president saying step down or resign Same old story ‘I have a dream’ that’s wat we gonna hear

No we did not. They do nothing constructive. Nx bloody hooligans Of course, that number is only support base. Following this on twitter a vast majority did not. EFFSouthAfrica is a violent, divisive and racist party .... this is how they would rule thier country Rubbish Even me I support EFFSouthAfrica

Only on the de klerk matter..... I don't care about Minister issues, it was not the platform for that. All ministers r not performing anyway You gave us popcorn moments yes. Be more spontaneous next time. Too much rehearsal made your act boring and we fell asleep😴 Look Maybe EFFFollowersWantedThis I didn't see much support on my timeline for such outrageous behaviour... Maybe i missed it😁😁

Nope, wrong again. True. We don't want anything to do with a prepaid president Name them

South Africa won’t be in the dark during Thursday’s Sona, says EskomSouth Africans can rest assured they will have the lights on for the state of the nation address (Sona) on Thursday - at least according to Eskom. Youth unemployment will be high no matter the theatrics Pls Eskom pls switch off the lights tomorrow I want to see something Why

Inflated ego's and airheads working overtime, after their disgraceful conduct at Sona.. Nope. We think you trash EFFSouthAfrica Idiot! True EFF restored our dignity Umm a small number. For the majority you wasted an hour and a half of our lives. Ugh I will never get it back! True that we support them by full force

That's true I'm one of them and as soon as they left parliament I also went to bed bcz the mission was accomplished Out me out. I don't support movements aimed at distabulising this country. South Africa need politicians that are working together. EFF is a big big dreamer

How South Africans are coping being locked up all day in China amid coronavirus | Cape TimesA South African living in Wuhan, China, where the coronavirus is thought to have originated, said he was thankful he and his family remained healthy. I hope they are all safe in that part of the world 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Just a fraction. Yes it is true but they must not do this in our public wait. They must respect those who do not support them. They must use their own mandated meetings and gatherings to fight their opposition. Yes I was I was in between Yes we did only fools will disagree Stop talking rubbish all the EFF does is embarrass South Africa. They have not constructively contributed to any real matter all they can do is act like children

for me I don't like that kind of behavior, but then what do you expect to someone who told the nation that Robert Mugabe is his favorite leader, you can look for something good in a stupid like that Ba right!!! You forget the 'enormous' at the beginning😂😂😂😂👆👆👆👆 We were

SONA 2020: South Africa is facing a stark economic reality, says Ramaphosa | IOL NewsPresident Cyril Ramaphosa said South Africa was facing a “stark reality” with a stalled economy that had not achieved any meaningful growth for over a decade. SONA SONA2020

Mo dan 80% of de population was in full support, evn thoh most of dat 80% does not support EFF! Where is Nelson Chamisa Many people i know weren't. Parliament's Lechesa Tsenoli warns EFF ahead of SONA - SABC News - Breaking news, special reports, world, business, sport coverage of all South African current events. Africa's news leader. The National Assembly Deputy Speaker Lechesa Tsenoli has sent a strong warning to EFF members that if they carry out their plan to disrupt the SONA, they will find themselves in the streets. If it wasn't for the EFF, Pravin would have been fired during Zuma's saga! SAns blame the EFF for this Pravin havoc they have caused! This CULT is indecisive, unpredictable & Bipolar mxm! toolatefor damage control!!! Eskom_SA my good friend please implement stage 1000 tomorrow the whole country, the rest we will discuss on Friday . EFF brought Pravin back, after Zuma fired him !! Making noise about Pravin is too late now! Remove Cyril is the solution

I thought it was a new Planet of the Apes sequel. Only saw now that it was actually the EFF at SONA20. Oops, my bad. That's Bullshit . That's true Really!!! I was livid with anger, 1h30min of abuse is too much. I always encourage my kids to vote opposition to strengthen democracy, while we parents stick to the old. I am done.

Iyhoooo!! Hai EFF and drama stop fooling urslfs Yes, i've been to many gatherings today, they all give thumbs up....! People are tired of day light dreams when they are not working Yes they are correct resistance is defense, things are moving from bad to worse under the anc and it can't be business as usual.

Yes the retarded ones Apartheid was a crime against humanity. Only an imbecile would want to argue otherwise, making apologetic comparisons about 'increased' levels of crime since 1994. Yes, crime is bad, but it has been spread evenly across all communities after 1994. Others have known it long b4 '94

Majodina discourages disruptions during SONA - SABC News - Breaking news, special reports, world, business, sport coverage of all South African current events. Africa's news leader.African National Congress Chief Whip Pemmy Majodina says true leaders have constructive ways of engaging, rather than promoting disruption this as the EFF has threatened to disrupt the State of the Nation Address SONA2020 sabcnews It's a promise The EFF doesn't play They will hold the executive accountable.. The nation trusts them for that What has the ANC done to Derrick hannekom who conspired with the EFF to remove Zuma. It was OK that time now they want Rama to be treated differently.

Oh yes we were 100% behind the leadership. Adults have better ways of communicating their views than engaging in chaos and disruption. Members of Parliament are supposed to be custodians of decorum. We can't take this behavior as acceptable, but be horrified when young people emulate it, & burn down University buildings.

Only foolish people would believe support such madness, red toys😁✊ I supported the move am tired of being fed lies every SONA its just talk with no action Most South Africans they mean the 1,8m that voted for them no one else 😂😂😂😂 EFF Julius_S_Malema facts Especially the news agencies that paid the eff to setup a disruptive SONA... malema even said it yesterday that they get paid.

only those who are political blind Yes indeed 🙉🙉🙉

They have lost their Mable's Shem. Not me I didn't watch because the EFFSouthAfrica are imbeciles. They are just arseholes in prison suits treating the constitution & the majority of the citizens with contempt. There comes a point where you have to change your modus operandi. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar

🤣🤣🤣 Yes for the first time am on the EFF's side on De Klerk I supported EFF 100% They are mad YES IT TRUE Uh-huh NO!!!!!

The majority of us were not, we were dying to hear what the President had to say. EFF raised very valid points but the platform was just not right. Nope. Such an inconvinience They are crazy. bull shit, not in my name I see sabc is also highjacked by eff wonder how much that costs , sabc how about a update on the vbs scandal ? Oh wait you didnt get an envelope for that

Ya. Maybe around 100 people. SONA2020 EFF I rather believe that we are ready to pay a seat at the circus to see such desolation. If you take the democracy in hostage, don't do the same with the people! It is true. Their voters are the unemployed youth that is affected, they call themselves educated party, meaning they want to keep the youth unemployed because investors will never invest in anarchy.Parliament is not where you can display disgusting behaviour,we expect dignity and respect.

Really They’ll find out at the polls - troublemakers & stirrers that’s who they are. Many, I would say, LOST any respect they had if they had.... FloydShivambu Julius_S_Malema

EFF, especially JM, can make anything sound plausible when grandstanding but whether its is appropriate is questionable. Media gives him far too much exposure when he is seeking to win support and influence his supporters. TV should have switched off cameras EFFSouthAfrica NO. We are not in support of wasting our time and infringing on other people rights. Just get it. U behave like National Party which used to disperse us during the dark days Radio702 Eusebius Julius_S_Malema FloydShivambu ParliamentofRSA ZindziMandela

Only the fools like them who were in support of their disruptions Im not is support of this cult behaviour EFF is a hit to the unemployed and lazy thinkers. They should have been rolling out programs to help their supporters get entrepreneurial skills and relevant funding instead dololo. Who benefitted from yesterday's theatrics?Show one hand please and detail the benefit

SONA is more entertaining when there are debates like this; That’s why I changed the channel when they left, bcos it becomes a dull reading exercise. Shame in your dreams They think they own South Africa, not every South African subscribes to their bullshit style politics That's obviously true. We can't act normal when things are not normal🤷‍♂️😁

All because of De Klerk and Pravin? Zume fired Pravin and they disrupted Parliament after that, now they are disrupting Parliament because Ramaphosa doesn’t wanna fire Pravin... De Klerk has always attended SONA even during the Zuma years, why make noise now?

Delusional I was indeed in support of the EFFSouthAfrica specially Hon. MbuyiseniNdlozi perfectwedding Indeed I supported them all the way. EFF Liars!! more than 10 million of us who who voted ANC wanted to hear our President speak without disruption. Nope. No we were not. We were more interested in what CR was going to say. All you, the EFF, have done is exacerbate South Africa's dire economic situation. You are chasing tourists and investors away with you cras behaviour.

1000000000000000% with u No ways No SABC on the EFF payroll just like ANC with ANN7...

EFF is a propaganda party ! VBS VBS and Limpopo tenders !!! Correct just wondering why this former president is not behind bars!!! Fake news by the EFFSouthAfrica SONA Yes but obviously a small number . On social media, yes. We know their % support from elections. They can't it is anything near majority.

Yes Banyela invitation should have never been extended to de Klerk Except me. I have never & will never support Hooligans. Its time to put Ramaphosa on Zuma's path

100000000% DONT decide for us South Africans A number of blind people like him Yes because after EFF walked out i switched to Rea Tsotella Yes we're 100% behind you ✊✊✊ Me and my family were in full support and when they left the channel changed We voted for them to hold government accountable Not everyone supported their disrespectful. We are tired of circus.

Indeed. even ANC MP's were in support Nonsene!!! A number would possibly be one or two EFF T shirt holders.

The EFF should be carefull amd not put their eggs in one basket and focus only on Pravin or De Klerk. They were elected as servants of the people and should focus on delivery of services and bettering lives.Ask Our_DA focused on ANC Never! Which south africans? That's where their mistake lie,ppl of South Africa are mature enough to understand these Political games.Especially when such a game is played by someone who has no backbone 'Ingcongolo' that always seem attention.

Actually not. Although we might differ in debate....we do have respect for the SONA by our President. The President represent the whole country. Yes all 3 of your supporters Only those who don’t understand the consequences as the whole world watched the unruly antics vele phambili eff phambili. Yebo kunjalo

Yebo alibhubhe kubo

who cares about what he does mina i don't I supported their stance on De Klerk. He's not my former president, he's just an apartheid former president period True myself I loved it, the way they done it Anyway we had no Sona Probably!! The ILLITERATE ONES They Prey On!! No we were not in support dont play yourselves their behaivor doesnt show ubunqawa baneskhwenkwe marn

They got it all wrong this time, abusing rules of ParliamentofRSA to play temper tantrums while wasting South Africans time was the most dumbest, idiotic thing to do. It was childish Keep on BELIEVING in your MAAMPAARAA world!!!! The drama yes, but in reality it worried me, Only the Fearless Voters who believe they have a Right to Disruptive Behaviour and Infrastructure Destruction Protests as long as it is meant to Destroy they are the Following of EFF as they cannot Contain their Bitterness about the Huge Loss at The Last Elections ANC NEW DAWN

The majority were not, but they still hijacked SONA2020... It's time they are dealt with decisively! Suspend them from Parliament... No work, no pay!

I was Well more or less 10% of the population if you go by electoral percentages. 10% SPOILING it for 90%. They are correct. FW should never sit foot in the People's House called Parliament. In the same way Israel declared Holocaust Denialism a crime, Apartheid Denialism should be a crime in SA.
