Editorial: Mr Prez, do right by SA

This week’s very bad economic signals should help to inform Ramaphosa that there is no time to play politics. The country needs fixing – now.

Second, retail sales growth slowed to just 0.2% year on year in March. This poor figure adds to views that the economy could have contracted by as much as 2% in the first quarter of the year. Another economic contraction doesn’t inspire confidence. The unemployment and retail figures demonstrate the hole out of which Ramaphosa has to dig South Africa.

You should have encouraged him to run as an independent candidate as president now is the Anc that dictates everything and he is not bigger than the anc

Fact is the President has little say in appointing his Cabinet. He is being dictated to by _cosatu and the SACP1921 who are all yearning for a revolution of some sort. Yet they never have the courage to contest elections themselves.
