Cape Town – The legal representative for Chloe Collins, who is being detained in Oman without having been charged, said senior leadership at the Department of International Relations has been in touch with the family and has launched an investigation into the 23-year-old’s detention.
“We are told that Chloe has been in police custody as she allegedly ‘allowed’ her brother to come home. Fewer than three weeks after arriving in Oman, Collins was detained by authorities and, until Tuesday, details of her detention were unclear to her family. “Chloe’s family only know that her brother was sent home by their employer following a mental breakdown.
