Dead fish litter Isipingo lagoon shores

DURBAN - The South Durban Community Environmental Alliance is calling for urgent government intervention to stop people from accessing the Isipingo lagoon in Durban.Desmond D'Sa from the alliance says eThekwini Municipality must do more than just ban public access to the beach as this has done little to stop locals from collecting and eating the fish.

"There's no sign of any municipal official, no security, so the community is getting the fish. We are hoping to get government out there urgently. "We need to get security there that will monitor people from picking up the fish and taking it home to eat."

The municipality of dirty durbsn are incompetent , indifferent and corrupt and thus there is no control or oversight. Its a mess!!!
