DA wants answers from Eastern Cape govt after UAE president's visit

The DA has submitted a Promotion of Access to Information Act to Eastern Cape Premier, Oscar Mabuyane. The party wants him to give a record of the decision that allowed provincial authorities to lease a portion of government owned Bulembu Airport in Bhisho to the President of the UAE and his family. JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance has submitted a Promotion of Access to Information Act to Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane.The party wants him to provide records of the decision that allowed provincial authorities to lease a portion of government-owned Bulembu Airport in Bhisho to the President of the UAE.

President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's visit raised concerns after it was revealed that he not only landed at Bulembu Airport but that he also upgraded the facility to the tune of R20-million.
