Johannesburg - The DA is pushing ahead with its so-called Private Member’s Bill aimed at splitting the power utility Eskom into two entities: responsible for power production and power distribution.
“The Ismo Bill is to be introduced during the second half of 2019,” the notice said. The summary of the bill was already published in February, after DA leader Mmusi Maimane announced in October that it would be coming, and that it was aimed at dismantling Eskom’s monopoly. Ramaphosa at the time said the government would embark on a process of establishing three separate entities - generation, transmission and distribution - under Eskom Holdings.

NHI dream is actually a sick and unaffordable nightmare, says DAThe National Health Insurance Bill (NHI) is built on a foundation of failure and ignorance, the DA health spokesperson told parliament on Friday. There was no business model before the roll out “we will fix the inefficient healthcare system along the way”, that’s the scariest statement of all time!! R300bn budgeted for the rollout of something that has little chance of working in the 21 century. Can we at least delay a little bit and fix some of the inefficiencies first 😂😂😂...so what’s smart about them if they can’t find ways of using less electricity?
