KwaZulu-Natal is in the grip of a fourth wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, and with the festive season around the corner the provincial government has urged all local government leaders to ensure their communities get vaccinated urgently.
The province has experienced a significant rise in infections. On Saturday, KwaZulu-Natal recorded 1,002 new cases, up from 630 on Friday. Health department 'has no idea why the test for Covid-19 still costs R850'The cost of Covid-19 testing – set at R850 per test by some private laboratories – is being investigated by the Competition Commission after the Council for Medical Schemes raised the issue. Its 350 by us so who's making all these numbers? the rich? people on medical aid? cos I know for a fact in the hood ain't nobody taking time to go test for free, yet alone spend R850...ain't nobody there even living in a pandemic!
