"I am concerned but at the same time I think our concern would be misplaced if we start believing that vaccines are not going to protect against severe disease and death," he said. "It might well be that unfortunately that vaccines might be less effective when it comes to protecting against infection and mild COVID due to this particular variant but for severe disease and death, I think we have some level of security that vaccines are probably going to maintain."

This new variant is a big push to force unvaccinated ones to get vaccinated and obviously to justify mandatory vaccination. Soon they will come on TV and say the existing vaccines work with the new variant so everyone must take it. And boosters and it goes on and on
