An inter-factional court battle begins in Pietermaritzburg as descendants of the late King Goodwill Zwellithini contest the Zulu monarch's will.

The late King Goodwill Zwelithini’s first wife, Queen Sibongile, and her two daughters -- Princess Ntandoyenkosi and Princess Ntombizosuthu Zulu-Duma -- are challenging the validity of his will.

The will named the late Queen Mantfombi Dlamini-Zulu as regent following the king’s death last year. The court case has divided the AmaZulu royal house and forced the KwaZulu-Natal government to put the king's coronation on hold.
