South African Medical Association's Dr Angelique Coetzee believes the virus's arival in South Africa is inevitable.JOHANNESBURG - It's not a matter of if, but when the coronavirus will arrive in South Africa. That's the word from the South African Medical Association's Dr Angelique Coetzee. : Ramaphosa directs South Africans in China to be repatriated "It’s not if its going, it is going to come, it is when it’s going to come. It’s important to understand If you think you have the virus you cannot come into my surgery, I’d have to try you via telephone, skype, besides coming physically into the surgery." Government has announced it will evacuate South Africans from Wuhan in China, the epicentre of the outbreak. The evacuees will be quarantined for 21 days. The government says South Africans being brought back home from China are coronavirus free. A spokesperson for the Presidency, Khusela Diko, explains. READ: "We can confirm that President Cyril Ramaphosa has directed that SA citizens in Wuhan province in China are repatriated back to SA. Cabinet took this decision following representation and request from individuals and their families." Diko says none of them has been diagnosed with a coronavirus. "Upon arrival, they will be quarantined for 21 days as an additional precautionary measure." A total of 132 out of 199 have requested repatriation.
