Conspiracy theories aside, the case against Mr Zuma is very strong - State | CowansView

This is one of the arguments set to be put to the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg by advocate Wim Trengove SC on Thursday, as he argues against an application by Zuma for a permanent stay of prosecution.

In the State’s heads of argument, which News24 has seen, the application for a stay of prosecution is branded another rung on the ladder of Zuma’s Stalingrad defence strategy"which he has implemented and pursued ever since he was indicted on 20 June 2005". But at the heart of the arguments is the charges against Zuma, and the evidence in the State's possession.

The court will also be asked by the State to strike out parts of Zuma’s affidavits, particularly paragraphs relating to advocate Billy Downer, the long-time prosecutor in the case. Zuma has argued that the decision to prosecute him is politically motivated, and was only ever brought up to stop him from becoming president.

CowansView It's former President Jacob Zuma, not Mr Zuma.

CowansView So were there other 700+ cases were but he is still free but we still stuck with hope of him being arrested

CowansView Indeed

CowansView He gotta go to jail. Also review of Shaik's pardon.

CowansView Those involved in political conspiracies & plots must answer in a different forum: Criminal trials are for prosecuting alleged wrongdoing, plain & simple! Zuma must answer to the charges put to him & save his political speeches for an NEC meeting!

CowansView Zuma's myriad conspiracy theories about his charges are entirely irrelevant: All that matters is that he has a case to answer and he MUST stand trial! I'm sure a court has already ruled on the irrelevance of political plots to prosecutions!

CowansView you are a reporter not a legal expert, the case based on circumstantial evidence has never been strong, stick to jounalism and leave law alone..second to that why leave conspiracy fact whereas it is in the center of everything

CowansView 👍 If he is not prosecuted, well, i would like to hear what priviledge that is🤔

CowansView U Mr Zuma is an old man so why do state wants to prosecute him

CowansView Qwaba ke

CowansView Mr Mamparra finally gets his day in court! Hell Yes!

CowansView Why do you prefer to call them theories and not conspiracy facts?

CowansView Please leave Mr Zuma alone, we all make mistakes.

CowansView You sold our country to three Indians, you are cheap

CowansView Azishe ke!
