Concern over spike in cash-in-transit incidents eNCA

There are fears this week of a spike in incidents of cash-in-transit robberies. This would make some sense the closer we draw to the festive season. Cash in Transit Association of South Africa’s Grant Clark says he is concerned at the recent increase, especially when there is a loss of life. Wahl Bartmann CEO of the big Fidelity Services Group spoke to Jeremy Maggs.CEO of Fidelity Group, Wahl Bartmann said there has been an increase in cash-in-transit robberies over the last two months.

"If we look at the last two months, there has been a huge spike in incidents and attacks on the different vehicles and companies, and yes I do think it is possible that there could be an increase," he said.Wahl says companies have developed new strategies to combat the rise in incidents. "With our intelligence teams, as well as the backup teams and air support, we really are prepared and have changed our way of operating for the next few months and there is a plan that has been rolled out," he added.

Meanwhile, Cash in Transit Association of South Africa's Grant Clark also said he is concerned at the recent increase, especially when there is a loss of life.

Cash in transit heists are driven by the EFF! The destruction of Capitalist Monopolies is their mission. Stealing cash to buy votes blah, blah, blah!!!

MASSIVE WAKE UP ENCA! If you have a real investigative journalist go and do some research. Around every election, (just prior to 94) whether municipal or otherwise, cash in transit heists occur! And at every political flare up... a string of CITHs! Do your work!!!!!

Nothing wrong about seeing the spike, SA is too much accommodative so these are the results!

Lol it’s festive season it is expected to spike until feb next year

JvanLogg Luthuli House. LGE elections.

JvanLogg CIT genocide it seems

Hard workers are doing their work

Beki Cele will probably find a way to blame alcohol for the spike in cash-in-transit incidents

Abramjee Election times. CITs spike... Doesn't it ring the bells to the author?

Abramjee A pity it doesnt develop into anything more than a 'CONCERN'. 1 would think they would have better strategies considering they hire such experts. Look inside your organisation & c who is complicit bcs this takes such planning to pull off. Its not opportunistic nor random

Abramjee VoetsekBhekiCele

Maybe it's time to go cashless

There are well known criminals in this country their phones are not bugged there's no any sort of surveillance on the but the guy selling beer on the side police make a uturn at his place 4 times a day without fail

Bheki Cele will probably say the rise in CIT heists is an exaggeration, and is being perpetuated by those who are looking for attention.

Where is our police minister? He abused his power over innocent people during lockdown not serious matters needs his attention and his nowhere to be found. Useless and old cadre deployed men

Funding for the ANC.

Bluehawktactic1 ANC needs campaign money again?

Bluehawktactic1 No trackers in the money boxes

There should be concern over the murders- rapes- burglary- hijacking- assault- etc etc. general lawlessness is rampant and saps seem powerless.......or indifferent. More action needed, not reaction to crime

They must used drones to follow the cash in transit

Wha concern this shit happens all the time it’s the anc’s handy work because they don’t have money to campaign.

Heat rising on farm murders.....they have to use their illegal weapons elsewhere......?.?

Close our borders. Patrol our big roads the same way they did to level one. Close main roads to township and do stop and search. Then boom crime solved. Failure just hire those old ANC soldiers to protect the money 🤷‍♂️and thank me later

Who released 19000 prisoners during lockdown? Rumapussy and his merry band of thieves. Fuckyouanc

Incidents?

Someone needs money to pay salaries.

Mmmm maybe some political party needs money for salaries.

The VoetsekANC need money to pay salaries

This should send a clear message to that little boertjies farmers that were threatening to shoot us that we'll open them like a cellphone with no password.

The cash strapped ANC are on a fund raising drive!

“Concern”. How quant. Get rid of useless political cadres and get some committed and professionals in to take effective action

Xa kusondele uvoto iyaxhapaka lento ndiyabona ukuba eliqela lilungiselela ulonyulo

People should learn to electronically transact. Reduce cash.

What does Bheki Cele have to say about this? Oh wait, he only addresses issues related to alcohol 🙄

Why are the money trucks not ESCORTED Why

Who is scared of committing crime in SA? answer: nobody, because there's no law against it.

They must now use private cars which are not visible to criminals.

Political party fundraisers

nonsense & pathetic excuse for inside jobs. disgustingly corrupt nation

Ah u Dec useduze mos

The CTI crimes always spike around this time of the year. When will crime prevention unit ever be ahead of these crimes?

Ke December .. looks like the lockdown made you forget how Mzansi rolls during this time

Ke tlala wešu. Meraba e nkga tlala!

Why can't I see one just after it happens before the police show up
