Eskom group CEO André de Ruyter has warned of a dark year ahead due to “necessary” load-shedding.

“As we continue to perform reliability maintenance and refurbishment projects to address the lack of power station reliability, an elevated risk of load-shedding remains,” said Scheppers.Eskom said unit 2 of the Koeberg power station has been taken offline for a long-term outage with a major project to extend its operating life by another 20 years.

Eskom said it will use the maintenance and refuelling outage on unit 2 to implement the SGR project, which entails the replacement of the unit’s three steam generators.

Hayi shame the biggest failer of all times is the current administration.... I hope its not a stunt to sell Eskom

Let's not be unfair to De Ruyter let's give him as much time as we gave the incompetent thieves to destroy Eskom. Overnight turnaround is expected to a quarter of a century's problems. Not fair or reasonable

Die is n Muskond😒😒

I admire his incompetence

Fokof!😡🗑️🚮

This failure. I wonder why are they still keeping him at the corporation

You started off the year so well... Ai

Tjo tjo tjo the only thing necessary in this instance is the CEO's resignation, you guys want privatisation at all cost🚮
