The continued absence of a former Kaizer Chiefs attacker from professional football has raised doubts about the prospect of his return to the game.He has not played for any top or second-tier club since then.He came on at the start of the second half in that game and then played on until the end of extra-time against the ABC Motsepe League club. Through that 2018/19 season, Jayiya only managed six scattered appearances with his second last having been against Black Leopards in November 2018.
From his last appearance in January 2019, Jayiya remained at Chiefs without playing until May when he was eventually released after a two-year stay at the club after coming in from Cape Town City. Jayiya turns 32 in March and has also played for Mpumalanga Black Aces, Bidvest Wits and Maritzburg United.
Efforts to talk to Jayiya were unsuccessful but in his last interview, he spoke about doing online courses.On the football front, he mentioned that he was waiting on offers but it has been rather surprising that he has failed to move on to another club since Chiefs.
