According to reports, Barcelona have struck a deal with one of Serie A's highest-rated midfielders to have him come to the Camp Nou at the end of the season.

With a lack of funds at the club, the Catalan giants are looking to take full advantage of the Bosman ruling by capturing as many stars on free transfers as possible, and Franck Kessie is reportedly the latest on that list. The Ivorian has been an AC Milan player since 2017, having initially joined from Atalanta on a two-year loan deal, which the Rossoneri made permanent in 2019. Since then, the midfielder has been an essential cog of the Milan machine.

This, however, could be Kessie's last season at the San Siro as his current contract with the Italian side concludes at the end of this campaign. Negotiations have taken place regarding an extension, but Milan are said to be reluctant to pay Kessie his wage demands.
