Another year of record citrus exports expected - but port fears remain

South African citrus exports are expected to hit a new record high, according to the Citrus Growers' Association.

The Citrus Growers' Association is eyeing another season of potential record-breaking fruit exports, buoyed by increased yields and improved fruit quality. Last year saw South African citrus growers packing an impressive 160 million 15kg cartons of fruit, benefitting from favourable weather conditions despite escalating input and manufacturing costs, as well as intermittent power outages.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
