The global vaccine alliance is trying to raise funds for a coronavirus vaccination, but also to reach 300-million children for vaccination against measles, polio and typhoid

The head of the global vaccine alliance has warned that “nobody is safe unless everybody is safe” from the new coronavirus, urging international solidarity ahead of a fundraising summit as the pandemic threatens to trigger a resurgence of preventable diseases.

He spoke ahead of a virtual summit being hosted by Britain on Thursday, at which Gavi hopes to raise at least $7.4bn to continue vaccination programmes against diseases such as measles, polio and typhoid that have been severely disrupted by the pandemic. Berkley said that countries needed a “different mindset”, adding that sharing access to drugs is not just a humanitarian and equality issue, but a global health security one. “Nobody is safe unless everybody is safe. We saw the virus move from somewhere around Wuhan to 180 countries in less than three months, including islands and isolated areas.

Berkley said the situation is improving, with new guidance on how to carry out immunisation campaigns safely. But he said locating all the children who missed out on vaccines before new outbreaks emerge will be a “real challenge”.

‘Up to 80% of people in Eastern Cape likely to get Covid-19’About 80% of people in the Eastern Cape are likely to contract Covid-19. You have to wonder where he gets this figure of 80% from? EC has a population of around 7 million, so if 80% get infected, and 1% die (his figures), then he is anticipating 56000 deaths in EC alone, whereas other models talk about 36 to 40k nationwide... No country in the world Whatever the bullshit arround this plandemic is clearer by the day. 80% get it, 99.9% of the 80% will get sniffles or not any symtoms at all & the 00.1% that get seriously ill will have underlying conditions that make getting the 'FLU' fatal like happens every year.
