News reaching the Siya crew is that AmaZulu FC have moved quickly to extend the deals of two key players, whose contract were coming to an end in June.

Veli Mothwa and Makhehleni Makhaula has been instrumental in the resurgence of Usuthu over the last 18 months, helping the club finish in the top two for the first time and qualify for the CAF Champions League. As previously reported by the Siya crew, the club was looking to secure of the services of Makhaula and Mothwa to remain at the club.

According to insiders, both players have agreed to commit to the club, with the duo happy in Durban and satisfied with the offers on the table. "Makaula and Mothwa are happy at AmaZulu. There was never any doubt about their future. They are staying and both have agreed on new deals, the club will make an announcement in due time," a source reveals to the Siya crew.

Usuthu are also believed to be working hard to keep other players, including Bonginkosi Ntuli, Siphesihle Maduna and Sbusiso Magaqa.
