A woman has broken her silence on how she got the beating of her life when she confronted her husband about raping his niece: “A tradition of silence and hiding our scars is over. I’ve buried my pain for many years for the sake of protecting my husband”

The 52-year-old troubled woman told City Press last week that she decided to speak out now after seeing an increasing number of women being killed by their intimate partners.

“Opening a rape case against my husband was not being spiteful but doing the right thing for the innocent child. I reported the case with a clear conscience because when my niece related the story to me for the first time, I believed her. But also, if I kept quiet, I would have failed every woman,” she said, adding that her husband allegedly beat her because all she was asking from him was to man up and admit that he forced himself on to the minor.

Hi must put in jail for life, as a man I'm sick and tired of this nonsense.😬😤

In whatever circumstances no man must use his musculanity 2 beat a woman. This is unacceptable that women should be beaten this way no matter how angry😩😰

Difficult as it may be, this is clear proof that under no circumstances should a rapist be protected from facing the consequences of his dastardly deeds.

What’s the use of trying to help you when you do not want to see this monster locked up....this people are their worst enemy

One can only hope that her courage be respected by the police and NPA to bring the perpatrator to book with urgency and that she receive support as she may need.

So disappointing

Sorry that he battered her this way but I'm so proud of her confronting him like that, the niece knows that someone cares.
