The merits of the issues raised - 2 convictions of assault, Nxasana's submission was that it was not a ground to render him unfit.
He says he was about 17 and18 years old.
Disclosed it to the law society and it wasn't something to render him unfit to be an attorney.

Zondo and Nxasana are discussing whether or not there was a meeting between Zuma and Nxasana at the time of the settlement proposal.

Nxasana says Radebe's trump card was that he didn't have the security clearance. He says he was still applying for his security clearance and had not yet been told if it was declined (he eventually found out that it was not declined).

The evidence now proceeds to the matter of Nxasana's settlement/payout - Nxasana says he said he would only leave if he was paid out for the remainder of his contract.

"That inquiry won't find anything against me," Nxasana says he told Zuma. Nxasana says he told Zuma that the inquiry wouldn't find that he was "not fit and proper to continue holding office".
Despite this, Nxasana says that Zuma still told him besides all that, they need to formalise a process for him to step aside, and they had to discuss how this would happen.
Nxasana says Zuma basically told him that he needs to leave.

Pretorius is still going through documents in evidence bundles, in detail, to establish the correct timelines and events before carrying on with Nxasana's evidence. Some pages in the different evidence bundles seem out of place, however.

Proceedings resume after the lunch adjournment. Pretorius starts by informing Zondo that the legal team was not able to enhance the recording during the break, and it may require specialist work to improve the recording.
Pretorius now continues leading Nxasana's evidence.

Proceedings now adjourn for a longer than usual lunch break, so that the commission's legal team and Nxasana can get their ducks in a row for the evidence which will follow, which Pretorius earlier insinuated would "heavily" implicate some people.

Nxasana says the gathering at Emperors Palace was a workshop on corruption organised by the NPA. Former justice minister Michael Masutha was also present and Nxasana approached him on the topic of taking disciplinary action against advocates Jiba, Mrwebi and Mzinyathi.
