Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana star Jabu Mahlangu is recovering in hospital after he was involved in an accident early yesterday morning.
Mahlangu’s lawyer Mabu Marweshe told City Press that details of the accident were still sketchy.
“We have not seen him yet. The only thing we got from his brother was the confirmation that there was an accident in the early hours of the morning.
“It looks like there was more than one vehicle involved. They suspect that the occupants of the other vehicle might be injured too. Jabu is in the same hospital [with some of them],” Marweshe said yesterday.

Marweshe said they were preparing for possible legal action following the accident.
According to an eyewitness at the scene, Mahlangu allegedly ditched his car and ran away after the accident as he feared for his life.
“He had to run because his car crashed into the taxi. He left it on the road and it was there for most of Saturday morning before it was removed,” the witness said.
