Parasite director Bong Joon-ho will adapt Edward Ashton's upcoming novel Mickey7, with Robert Pattinson expected to star in the sci-fi film, Variety reports.
The Warner Bros. film is the second Warner Media production for the director – he currently has an HBO limited series in the works with Adam McKay – and his first feature film since the Oscar-winning Parasite, which his limited series is based on.
"The Martian meets Dark Matter in Edward Ashton's high concept science fiction thriller, in which Mickey7, an 'expendable,' refuses to let his replacement clone Mickey8 take his place," reads a short synopsis for the book, to be published in February.
