Squid Game was the most Googled TV show in SA - See what else made the list

Google has released its Year in Search results for South Africa, showing which TV shows and movies the SA audience was most keen on in 2021.

Topping the list as the most-searched show was Netflix's Squid Game. The series became Netflix's most popular show ever, drawing in millions of viewers globally.

Taking the second spot is Bridgerton, another one of Netflix's big hitters, while Red Notice comes in at number three. 

South African series Skeem Saam took the number five spot on the list of most-searched TV shows and movies, with audiences searching the term "Skeem Saam teasers".

James Bond also made an appearance on the list with No Time to Die, and so did the Friends reunion special.
