ANC disputes about exclusion from candidate lists continue to rage, despite the party’s announcement that it was satisfied with the registration of all its councillors across the country.
In the Eastern Cape, some disgruntled ANC members who are not satisfied with the processes to elect ward candidates ahead of the upcoming local government elections are contesting the ANC as independent candidates, while others take legal action. In Gauteng, at least one member has enforced his inclusion on the lists after going to court.
