Meghan Markle's children's book The Bench has made the New York Times Bestseller list.

The book illustrated by Christian Robinson - released on 8 June - is inspired by Prince Harry and Archie's relationship.

"The Bench started as a poem I wrote for my husband on Father's Day, the month after Archie was born. That poem became this story," Meghan said in a statement about the book.

The Bench took the number 1 spot in the Children's Picture Books category of the New York Times Bestseller list.

In their review, they said: "Meghan's message is heartfelt: Life is happy and sad, and a father can be there for it all."

"Thanks to You, The Bench is a #1 "New York Times" Bestseller," reads a statement on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Archewell Foundation website.

"Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex's debut children's book, The Bench, is #1 on The New York Times Bestseller list for children's picture books after being released just last week. Congratulations to everyone involved in the project."
