If the USPS fails, small businesses like mine will fail too. FedEx/UPS prices are unaffordable and without competition from the USPS, they will climb even higher.

Don't run social services like for-profit businesses

Like it or not the USPS is a viable function of government and should be saved.

To be *fair*, aren’t most of us regular people suffering? If you don’t have extra money, what exactly are you going to buy that needs shipping? If you’re supposed to stay inside, won’t you pay bills online instead of by mail?

This writer clearly has not tried to order something from USPS lately.....20 day lead times on USPS.

They are surviving by their Amazon deliveries which they deliver even on Sundays. Scary when PO needs Bezos.

Now would be a great time to replace all the mailboxes the USPS removed from communities since there is no place left to post a letter.

So is junk e-mail.

Perhaps the Postal Service should consider going electronically instead of wasting paper, and putting people’s lives at risk, by delivering needless paper

I'm doing my part by buying everything Amazon sells.

And still 80% is junk mail that goes into the garbage unopened. If they charged full price for the junk mailers they would have a bit more $$$. End bulk rate.
