Since you're probably doing more dishes than ever.

, especially of the nonstick variety, don’t belong—they’re bulky and damage-prone. Those twisty reusable straws? Asking for trouble. Essentially, the cardinal rule is this: Don’t put anything in there that you couldn’t replace—ceramics, family heirlooms, fine china. For the most powerful wash, position the tines of forks and the bowls of spoons sticking up. And keep knife blades stabbing downwards .

Thin plastics should live on the top rack to prevent them from melting. And be sure to batten the hatches: Rogue plastic bits tend to drop to the bottom, where it’s hotter. Place bowls and cups facedown or at an angle so they don’t harbor puddles, and keep plates on the bottom shelf where the spray is strongest. Don’t nest things like Russian dolls; if the water can’t reach something, it won’t be cleaned.Right after you empty the machine, add the detergent.

Parkerlawyer, I immediately thought of you!

Knives and cookware should never go into the dish machine.

Thank you for this:)

Well you’ve got 20 plates and only 4 forks.

I have an even better idea but I’d like to get paid some royalties 🤭

I junk it all in. It’s why my wife refuses to let me do it anymore.

jellen805 Everything except the knife looks 🔪 fine 🤣🤷‍♀️

Sure, if your diswasher is laid out like that. Mine has a basket in the bottom front center that makes that layout impractical.

Your cup to plate ratio is way off. Not buying it. 🤣

Washing dishes is not that difficult

This article only intensifies the battle in every household between the person who believes they are the only one who knows how to load the dishwasher and the person who thinks that person is crazy. 😜

Biden’s inflation is preventing me from owning one

The opposite of how my wife does it is the correct way

I’ve tried to show my mother-in-law but for some reason it doesn’t take.

I wish I knew! NY apartments never have them lol

just do it - that is a win

What’s that contraption?

Any person who loads my dishwasher has their own way. And it is perfect. And appreciated.

Stop judging me.

Cram as much as you can and pray for the best

The correct way to load the dishwasher is however the last person did it. Anyone who thinks they can load it better can take over that chore.

The only thing I disagree with is how you placed your utensils. I like to place them downwards. I prefer not to Touch the part of the utensil that people will place in their mouths.

Who has this many plates? 😂

Loading your dishwasher correctly can increase the longevity of your kitchenwares, free up extra space to fit more inside and lengthen the lifespan of your dishwasher! Important!!

Lol, but Cascade ran that commercial about running the dishwasher daily no matter how full it is. I wonder why they would even want us to run our dishwasher more often

Really? Not this?

how about no

I feel like the LAST thing BA should be doing in these “uncertain times” is starting WWIII between cooped up cohabiters by being that bitch who says, “oh you’re doing it THAT way?” Read the room, BA Everyone else: Do you. Eat off a frisbee for all I care. It’s end of days.

This brings up, but never actually answers, the question of wine glasses. This information is extremely relevant to my isolation.

If your water is hard and you get water stains, drizzle some citric acid on your glassware.

If you think I’m dumb enough to tell my wife this your are absolutely correct.
