Incredibly, though, we failed to pick up on this little Easter egg until today: You can actually press L3 to have a nice conversation with the game’s bosses and enemies.
Put simply, most gamers have been completely misreading the aggressive body language and menacing appearance ofenemies. While so many of us instinctively drew our weapons as a Red Eye Knight charged our way, the truth is they just want to talk to you about your favorite entry in thefranchise. Admittedly, it’s banal and can get pretty boring after the Knight keeps telling you that Philip Seymouris underappreciated.
A surprising number of these demons are anti-maskers. Doesn’t mean they’re not nice, they’re just misinformed. Talk to them, but prepare to do some gentle teaching.

JFSargent This is funny, but I really do think being able to talk to and maybe sometimes reason with enemies would be an interesting mechanic adding tons of moral complexity to games. I know there are games out there that do that, but I want it in like, Far Cry or something.

Was this not what everyone else was doing? I started playing after people were talking about how hard the game was, but once I played it and talked to the demons I beat the game in a matter of minutes.
