Speculation about the president issuing himself with a pardon has grown since the election on November 3.

a non-binding comment made by a court or judge in passing.as it's also known, can be considered persuasive by lower courts but it does not carry the same weight as binding precedent.Presidents and the Constitution: A Living HistoryThis shows that there is still uncertainty among experts on the matter.

If Trump decides to pardon himself—and if he has the power to do so—it's likely to create the perception that he's guilty of something but legally the matter is more complex. It's also worth noting that pardons can be used to correct perceived miscarriages of justice or in cases where a person is considered innocent of the charges brought against them.

Yes.

What, A white pavo?.

yes

Once you pardon one turkey, the rest come easy

............. by definition. You can’t have a pardon without a crime.

Yep! Anyone pardoning him would be an admission of guilt.

It would be an admission of guilt. But I don't think he can issue a pardon to someone not convicted f a crime.

He does not need to pardon himself for us to know he is a criminal with the rest of the grifting family

Of course. Republicans like Gaetz still haven't figured that out.

Im not prefacing this with anything. But what would he pardon himself for? Can you pardon yourself from crimes you might be charged with?

It's like a judge committing a crime and then be the judge listening to his own case. Conflict of interest.

Or he could quit and leave and let Dr. Pence pardon him. Would that not be legal?

Typical Supermarket Tabloid. It is such a waste of a once upon a time good magazine.

Those are the rules.

Yes!

Who cares? He certainly doesnt.

Yes, yes it would. One has to be guilty to accept a pardon

Yes. It is self evident an innocent person needs no pardon

Relax, the sky is not falling lads ..

After Ford left the WH in 1977, he privately justified his pardon of Nixon by carrying in his wallet the text of Burdick v. US, a 1915 U.S. Supreme Court decision that stated that a pardon carries an imputation of guilt and that its acceptance carries a confession of guilt.

하나님께서 매일 여러분을 깨우시는 이유는, 주님을 섬기기 위함입니다. The reason THE LORD wakes you up every day is that you may serve HIM. MegaWordVigil

By definition, a pardon is an admission of guilt. Why would anyone pardon an innocent person? Nonsensical. If the power were limited to those charged, then potential innocence would be a factor as one can still be innocent though charged, but it's not.

Which one is the turkey on the pic ? 🤔 AleksandraFern3 StopTheCriminal

NEWSWEEK you just won the Turkey quote of the year award! Shame, shame.....

Innocent people don't pardon themselves

It would be anti-Constitutional and an Abuse of Power. And, yes, it would show consciousness and admission of guilt. My bet is he tries to do it.
