The Election Protection hotline (866-OUR-VOTE) is available all year, but calls have ramped up especially in states like Florida and Texas.

WASHINGTON — Onika Williams sat at her dining room table in Arlington, Virginia, flipped open her laptop and began her shift fielding calls fromSome wanted to know where they could go to vote early. Others called into the national hotline to ask how they could track their mail-ballot.

“The volume of litigation and intensity of the phone calls makes clear that the 2020 election is a season like none other in recent times,’’ said Kristen Clarke, president and executive director of Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, one of the groups leading the effort. She said those challenges include voters unsure about going to the polls for fear of exposure to the virus.

With the pandemic, many voters don’t have access to traditional support systems, including churches and civic organizations, to get reliable information, said Barbara Arnwine, president and founder of Transformative Justice Coalition, a racial justice and voting rights advocacy group.Another problem, said Arnwine, is the pervasiveness of voter suppression tactics.

Just go get in line and vote. It's really just that simple. That's if you're an American citizen

Worried about voting? Polls have been open for quite some time for early voters and absentee ballots have been massively pushed. But hey! Let's talk to a lawyer about it......

Only remedial voters have trouble voting.

Voters lined up weeks before the election is a good sign. It means people have the opportunity to vote. All you have to do is make the effort.

These thousands lawyers...sometimes your patheticness is humorous

In America this is happening.

Deceitful biased lawyers answering valid questions from struggling Americans. How sad that people actually thrust this as value-added?!

If you can protest. You can vote

Trump just signed an exec order to terminate fed employees when they do not perform political theater that runs counter to the purpose of their job. This adds perceived legitimacy to an administration that is wrong.
