Here are details on different election-related events open to the public to learn more about the officials running for local office.

Coming weeks will see a number of forums, panels and debates for candidates to share their views and visions for the city and the school district to a number of different groups. Most are open to the public. Voters will also decide three seats on the Anchorage School Board. Pat Higgins and Kay Schuster are running for seat E; Angela Frank and Dora Wilson are running for seat F; and Carl Jacobs and Chelsea Pohland are running for seat G.The debate will include mayoral candidates Bronson, LaFrance, Popp and Tuck. According to the Alaska Children’s Trust, “questions will focus on topics that impact Alaska’s kids, including health, out-of-school time, education, economic well-being, and housing.
