Tony Evers' administration is moving ahead with plans to buy 10,000 ventilators and 1 million protective masks in the fight against the coronavirus. The effort comes after Evers' administration had clashed with Republican lawmakers over whether he needed their permission to make such purchases.
The executive order from Evers, a Democrat, would delay in-person voting until June 9. But Republicans almost immediately said they would ask the state Supreme Court to intervene, calling Evers’ decision “an unconstitutional overreach.” “Frankly, there’s no good answer to this problem — I wish it were easy,” Evers said in a statement. “I have been asking everyone to do their part to help keep our families, our neighbors, and our communities safe, and I had hoped that the Legislature would do its part — just as the rest of us are — to help keep people healthy and safe.”
But Democratic state Sen. Jon Erpenbach said Republicans want to suppress turnout, particularly in Democrat-heavy Milwaukee, because that will benefit Republicans and the conservative Supreme Court Justice Dan Kelly, who is seeking a 10-year term. “Your choice is to go and vote in person and take a chance on contracting COVID-19 or stay home,” Erpenbach said. “What do you think people are going to do?”
Wisconsin Elections Commission Administrator Meagan Wolfe warned clerks not to defy the federal court order and release any results before April 13. To reduce the chance of that happening, Wolfe told clerks to minimize access to vote totals and not transmit any until after 4 p.m. on April 13.
How can states be fully responsible for thier pandemic response (because of “states rights”, but not be able to control their own elections? Can conservatives be anymore transparent in their distain for democracy?

The Wisconsin Supreme court overturned the Governor order. Even tho the CDC has said this week will be the 2nd coming of Pearl Harbor, via Covid-19. This is voter suppression by the GOP. Also Lying, Cheating, Rigging, & Stealing to hold onto Power.
Could the media ask Trump if he approves of the Wisconsin election? And could they ask Biden if he is still on the Republican's side? If the press, JoeBiden or realDonaldTrump had either souls or spines they could pressure the Wisconsin Republicans not to kill people tomorrow.
Let those who are against waiting to vote should man the polls.

Thank you, GovEvers . This is the only reasonable solution. Below is an image of the ~1200 COVID19 cases in Milwaukee County from yesterday. Polling stations had been reduced to only FIVE - down from 180 - to accommodate a city of 600,000. Voting should not be deadly.
