Some IGA Inc. grocery stores now offer only four choices of toilet paper. A few months ago, before the coronavirus pandemic, IGA’s 1,100 U.S. stores typically carried about 40 varieties.
Harley-Davidson Inc. has cut some models from its motorcycle lineup. Outback Steakhouse has stripped roughly 40% of its menu, is studying whether customers care and may drop some items for good even after the pandemic.
Stick to what you know. truth is what doyou know . you know consumers want more chips want their cars if they can afford them toilet paper meals and more narrow a surprising and previously unknown fact, self ·in. divulgence
Take a look at your average Antifa protester. They are 30-40 pounds over weight. wuflu bait I think they could do without a new bag of chips for a year or 10
Honestly the American consumer could probably use a relief from having to make so many decisions
They never got forays into variety right anyway. Leave that to small batch producers.
yashar In Florida in the 1980s there was the store Kash n' Karry. There was an aisle with products in yellow boxes.
What the heck happened the the Jalapeño Popcorn?
yashar Visiting the US for the first time, i couldn't get over how much product choice there is in supermarkets compared to the UK. Found it a little bit stressful to be honest 🤪
yashar Koch Industries owns most brands anyway.
We are over consuming everything. We are destroying the earth. Read the book, Overstory.
yashar May be true but consumers won't get to choose which choices remain. Guess what brand Safeway had when it was hard to find any: Their own house brand that they get all the profit from. Most of the TP shelf space that used to go to other brands is now full of only Safeway's brand
Great news! Aren’t many of the “choices” presented just as a way to claim shelf space anyway?
So what are you—a wall, a street, or a journal?
yashar When this is over, companies will do whatever it takes to dominate market share. Typically that’ll include significant product differentiation. Someone will fill the void.
My husband and I have been saying that for 15 years. We don’t need a whole aisle of toothpaste. I like choices, but it is over the top.
yashar I lived in Japan for several years in the late 90s-early 2000s. There is plenty of selection in stores there, but when I would come back home to visit I was always overwhelmed by American stores. They're too big & there's waaaay too much stuff.
yashar Some of you may know me as a lover of CheezIts. My body shape is a result of wayyyyy too many CheezIts 😄 But I’ve never wanted or needed 16 different flavors. And it’s always the original flavor that gets sold out, not “havarti chive” or whatever
Choices are confusing. We don't need scented or quilted or whatever...give us what works, a good value and flushes! That being said, I am a man and officially only recognize 10 Crayon colors.

yashar Let's face it. Trump just isn't up to the job. Not really caring about to right now.
Lay's chips make the best wipes.
charming
Leftist nonsense.
Except electric cars and trucks. We want those NOW!
So much of the new choices are not really profitable in the long run, they are marketing gone wild. The marketing staff receive bonuses or profit % on new products but often enough, the plants that have to produce it lose money in time and effort, delivery and placement.
STOP LYING TO US! Shame on the Wall street Journal for spreading fear!
Oh no the world’s going to end if we don’t have 50 different potato chip brands lol
