For this runner under self quarantine, his usual escape brings its own set of anxieties.

From my highest mileage months culminating in back-to-back 80 mile weeks, to sporadic running while traveling, to zero running under quarantine. TheI am taking quarantine seriously. My apartment door has opened five times. My garbage is picked up outside my door when groceries are dropped off. Unable to wash laundry, I am down to three clean pair of underwear—yes, I am rationing..

No matter how much I rest and recover, I usually feel on the verge of illness at the best of times. My intense training and travel compromises my immunity, but until this month, I am okay with it. This thing is vicious, and as the kids say, gives zero fucks. It has jumped oceans, traversed mountains, and seemingly sneaks out at night when entire countries are on quarantine. It preys on the compromised and weak.

He took this way too far...almost OCD personality.

He is showing symptoms. Of course, he is scared. I don’t have the symptoms, I haven’t traveled in 7 months, I follow the suggestions by CDC. Then, I Will go for a run.

I'm actually running more often now since my gym is closed. Don't want to lose my gains.

I run every single day.

Not me
