Ever since a huge crater was discovered off Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula in the early 1990s, scientists have been confident that an asteroid slammed into Earth 66 million years ago and killed off the dinosaurs and most life on the planet.
But the cause has never been definitively settled, and some scientists have questioned the widely held"sudden-death by asteroid" theory. That camp believes that massive volcanic eruptions, which may have released climate-changing gases in the Spain-sized region known as the Deccan Traps, played a significant role. Now, a group of researchers at Yale University are putting the blame back solely on the asteroid.
Another destruction ll happen sooner or later 🥂
complete fairy tale
We're long due for another one to kill off humans...
I don't believe in dinosaurs. There is no creature such as dinosaurs in the text of Holy Bible.
Pretty sure you can visit the crater where the asteroid struck.
A NEW study!! 🤢🤮 This is why no one should pay attention to studies. For every one study showing something there’s an opposite studies showing the opposite.
Dinosaur farts and combustion engines?
And more assumptions not based on fact
Evolution err
Yeah sure FakeNewsCNN. True science proves dinosaurs lived up until recently. researchdragons
Maybe a prehistoric Trump became President
Debate flares up after smoking the strong kind of weed, ( no proof whatsoever of a giant meteor EVER hit planet earth).
Ancient volcanic eruptions didn't play a role in the mass extinction that killed off the dinosaurs, a tumblr post says, putting the blame solely back on an asteroid that slammed into Earth.
An asteroid off Yucatán put enough debris into the atmosphere to kill plants & the food chain chaos that followed did the rest. Changed Climate negatively. THAT’s rapid Climate Change !

I thought the asteroid thingie was a given.
I always thought that the dinosaurs who survived the asteroid collision were killed out by land ashes blocking the sun. So I'm right in thinking the asteroid did cause them to become extinct, right?
USSF to the rescue...lol..ha ha ha .
What do y'all think?
And probably created an incredible and catastrophic ripple effect of earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis and a multitude of catastrophic storms.
What?
Nobody tell aigkenham He thinks The earth is only 6000 years old. His milk will curdle at this news.
The crater everyone is looking for is The Gulf of Mexico.
Tell us more about this paleontologist “rage”
The science is settled!
Can we just be honest for a minute and admit that scientists don't really know WTF they are talking about when it comes to these big systems?
I thought that was the story years ago, was what I learned in college also. That it wasn’t a volcanic eruption after all that was the cause it was let’s see....gee, an ASTEROID slamming into the earth... When did the story change again, or change several times since then?
And another one is coming!
That's awesome
Uh they never existed. Impossible for dinosaurs to reproduce. How the hell do you think these things had sex? DINOSAURS NEVER EXISTED HISTORY IS A LIE
It’s not Trumps doing CNN
🙃
CNN: Why did the dinosaurs go extinct? ME: Because Arsonists set the earth on fire
Sure, just blame the asteroids.
So massave amounts of co2 launched into the atmosphere didn't kill life on earth
SUEtheTrex
Ts funny how scientists think they are so smart and have an answer to everything. Are you God, their are things wit no explanations just to show you that HE exists...aaaaaaa Humans
It was meant to be god’s plan that’s it , how will stay unknown
It's all Trump
