Congressman Tom Emmer shares insights into his new bill aimed at prohibiting the Federal Reserve from issuing a CBDC directly to individuals.

This comes after the Fed has just released a white paper on the digital dollar. “Simply put, the bill that we dropped is a statutory prohibition on a potential surveillance tool that I believe will kill private sector innovation and deflate the dollar’s dominance,” Emmer said.
