Certain MacBook laptops have been recalled, which means they're banned from flights until they've been repaired, the FAA confirmed to CNBC.
First, the Federal Aviation Administration disclosed last week that some Apple laptops have been banned from flights. This comes after Applelaptop models because the batteries inside the computers pose a fire hazard. Apple's response centered around safety: "This information is there to help protect our customers from damaged, poor quality, or used batteries which can lead to safety or performance issues," Apple said in a statement.
People buy fake batteries online, or repair shops buy them from unauthorized sources. These batteries can have chemistry issues which make them swell up, eventually leading to a fire, Maluf said. Apple has also fought counterfeit batteries in the legal system and on online retailers, but it does not sell authentic batteries directly to users. Apple recommends that users lean on its network of authorized repair shops to get any battery replacement work done. Apple said that in addition to its network of stores, there are 1,800 authorized dealers in the United States that have access to authentic Apple parts and batteries.
As products like smartwatches and wireless headphones become more common, the number of lithium-ion batteries in the wild will expand even more.
Mother of Mohamed, can you stop posting the same old stories over and over?
Then it needs to make better batteries!

They want us to replace phones.... duh
Apple does NOT want Americans to replace the batteries on their phones but they are ready to let the Chinese do everything on American’s phones from building them from the inside out to replacing even BATTERIES
Tracking beacons that the target cares for, maintains and upgrades. Geotagging, telemetry and webhooks designed to engage before a vpn secures it's connections. Evil genius.
Apply must change there marketing policies because there are beautifull smartphones out there for onley 150 euro example a Alcatel 64gig can do everthing with social media what else do you want!
This is how it's been for around a decade. Any other news for us, like, how Obama's first term is going or anything?
Well Apple have fanbois so do whatever you want is the strategy.
Of course, your iPhone is waterproof. It is hard to keep it that way if you insist on opening it to replace batteries yourself.
If you can avoid all products and services from Apple, Facebook and Twitter then you can have a decent life. Doh.🤦♀️
Then stop profiting from the replacement and make it cheaper.
Greed
Greed
The fact the iphone fan bois/tittie streamers don't exist is a cause for concern....
They’re trying to play it off as them looking out for the consumer when in reality they’re just trying to cover their own asses while making bank. Otherwise they would be willing to sell authenticated batteries directly to us instead of forcing us to go to an authorized shop
Cash.
Well duh they want money.
DROP THE PRICE THE PRICE AND PEOPLE WILL GO TO APPLE
Because the predatory creeps want to rip every possible $ out of every consumer ( and then pay virtually zero tax in the countries in which they make profit). Vile company.
So they can hose us
people want chepar batteries and they do fine job I can replace battery in any phone .
Except it is OEM batteries that are failing. But you need to spin this as Apple is a big advertiser? Shame, shame.
Fake News
just changed both of our iPhone 7s 100% battery health!
Then don't make it so difficult to replace.
I have heard and seen videos of Apple and Samsung products smoking and exploding from poorly designed battery. I have not yet seen a third party battery does that. Maybe these 2nd, 3rd, 4th tier manufacturers are producing better batteries. NotAboutSafety
Because it’s hard...
