Neve Campbell is back as Sidney Prescott in Scream. The movie reveals that Sidney is now a mother of three - but who is her husband? Neve shares her thoughts.

Actress Neve Campbell shares who her Scream character Sidney Prescott is married to in the new film. Campbell has played Prescott for all five Scream films, remaining the lead protagonist throughout. The first four Scream films were directed by legendary horror director Wes Craven, based on the concept and scripts by Kevin Williamson. Craven passed away in 2015, his last film being 2011's Scream 4.

The new Scream is directed by Ready or Not filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who won back much of the original cast, including Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, and Marley Shelton . The film also has a healthy amount of new additions, including younger stars and recognizable names like Jack Quaid , Dylan Minnette , and Mikey Madison . The new film is written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick with original writer Williamson on board as executive producer.

Dempsey's Mark Kincaid was a detective on the Ghostface murders case in Scream 3, who managed to survive the film after plenty of hints that he may be the killer. The end of Scream 3 saw Kincaid, Sidney, Dewey, and Gale all settling in to watch a movie, but Kincaid isn't mentioned or referenced in Scream 4 as Dempsey does not appear in the film.

It's always a little strange to see characters grow up onscreen and audiences have seen Sidney go from high school to college to career and now to motherhood. Being the Final Girl that she is, Sidney remains a staple character to the Scream franchise, much like Jamie Lee Curtis to Halloween.

They mention Mark in the movie, and isn't Mark the name of the detective from Scream 3? Gotta be him.
