Executive Director of the World Health Organization's emergencies program Mike Ryan speaks at a news conference on the novel coronavirus in Geneva, Switzerland.

Executive Director of the World Health Organization's emergencies program Mike Ryan speaks at a news conference on the novel coronavirus in Geneva, Switzerland. The World Health Organization said Thursday there is "no evidence" the coronavirus is being transmitted through food.

Researchers in China are studying the issue, and the international agency is tracking their findings, Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the WHO's emergencies program, said during a press conference at the agency's Geneva headquarters. But right now "there is no evidence that food or the food chain is participating in the transmission of this virus," he said.

"People should not fear food, or food packaging or processing or delivery of food. Food is very important. And I would hate to think that we would create an impression that there's a problem with our food or there's a problem with our food chain. We're under enough pressure as it is," he said.

Weren’t the Chinese eating bats?

Put masks on food

RMB talks

There are many evidences in China indicating frozen food or its packaging materials can carry COVID-19

So the Brazilian chicken wings from China are safe to eat? Just want to be clear.

I'm glad that a sixties rock group have my back.

WHO’s on first?

Human dead body.. Then Animals dead body..

No proven data ..so far, but there are certainly reports of circumstantial evidence alluding to transmission via cold storage food. When is WHO going to get ahead of the game & not wait till it is all too late,....of course then there is plenty of evidence!

How shocking. No evidence of Covid-19 is exist. No evidence of asymptomatic transmission. No evidence of airborne transmission. Tests not testing for covid-19 but a generic genetic material, all the data scientifically meaningless. Antiscience charlatan nonsense propaganda.

I thought China said imported salmon transmitted the virus.

The Virus sticks itself to the meat.. 🍗

Come on, 2nd wave in Beijing came from imported seafood. No?

Lmao. The WHO also said that there was no evidence of people to people transmission back in January.

Well do tell who says that

i dunno, who?
